Our History
Founded in 1966, by Raymond Shazell and his close friends Ken Sowden and Jack Wellington, Western Flat Roofing has 55 years’ worth of experience providing residential and commercial clients long lasting flat roofing solutions.
Having remained at its HQ in St Columb Major, Cornwall, since 1976, Western Flat Roofing has family at the heart of everything it does.
Over time the partnership evolved and in 2010 Raymond’s son Charles and his wife Kahdine purchased their shares. They then made Western Flat Roofing a limited company with Charles working alongside his father and supported by his wife Kahdine and mother Angela, who were named Directors of the business.
With guidance from his father, Charles has grown Western Flat Roofing to become one of the leading flat roofing specialists in the UK that is renowned for its outstanding customer care, high standards of service and ability to transform commercial and domestic roofs.
